Redcar Contemporary
My work is informed by a feeling of precariousness. Created with found objects which are not neutral but invested with a memorable past, I am interested in the effect of the passing of time on memory, the both remembering but also the inevitable and often essential act of forgetting. Beautiful, disturbing and reflecting that life is fragile and time inevitably moves us on, but there is often a resilience. I look for my work to reflect these states and, within the precariousness, leave some hope.
